Multicloud, IaC and migration

Work with an expert Cloud Architect

Work with a certified Cloud Architect who decides the shape of your system in the cloud: what migrates first, which provider each piece runs on and what it costs to sustain.

Cloud Architect: what this role brings to your project

A Cloud Architect designs a system's cloud architecture and decides where each piece lives: what gets migrated and in what order, what runs on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud, what scalability and security each layer demands, and the spending discipline it operates under afterwards (FinOps).

That is the boundary with the cloud engineer: the architect decides the shape of the system and the engineer builds and operates it. In multicloud, that decision sets how much vendor lock-in the business takes on.

Why work with Shakers

The advantages of adding this profile with Shakers

Cloud cost decided with FinOps

They size instances, reservations and storage with FinOps discipline, and leave cloud cost optimisation running.

Multicloud without a locked-in bet

Decide which workload runs on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud, and what stays portable with Docker so you are not tied to one.

Scalability designed, not patched

Define how the system grows: microservices, serverless or Kubernetes depending on the real load, with observability to measure it.

The architecture, written in Terraform

The design is delivered as infrastructure as code (IaC) in Terraform: reproducible, reviewable and executable by your team.

Certification with proof of architecture

We certify identity, experience and technical skills, with tests on multicloud design and cloud migration.

Networks and access decided before traffic

Cloud security is settled layer by layer: VPC, IAM and access traceability before real traffic comes in.

Tell us your cloud project
What does a cloud engineer do?
The cloud engineer builds and operates what has been decided: they stand up networks and clusters, automate deployments and answer for live infrastructure. They come in once the design is closed.
What does a cloud solution architect do?
It is the same role under another name. The market also lists it as cloud systems architect or cloud infrastructure architect; the nuance is whether integration or infrastructure carries the weight.
How do a Cloud Architect and a DevOps Engineer differ?
The DevOps Engineer automates the delivery flow, from the CI/CD pipeline to deployment. The Cloud Architect arrives earlier, and their decision sets how far that flow can go.
When does a hybrid architecture make sense?
When there is data that cannot leave your data centre because of regulation or latency, or a system nobody will touch. Hybrid architecture sets what stays inside and how it connects to the cloud.
Do I need a Cloud Architect or a provider to manage my infrastructure?
A managed service operates infrastructure that is already defined and answers for its availability. If how it is put together still has to be decided, that work comes earlier and is done per project.
What do you need before migrating core applications to a cloud architecture?
An inventory of dependencies, an owner for every piece of data and a cutover window agreed with the business. Without that, the migration plan rests on assumptions.
The two artefacts delivered at the start

A landing zone: accounts, networks and permissions defined before the first deployment. And a design review against the Well-Architected Framework, which puts in writing what is assumed on reliability and cost.

Migrating a core system without rebuilding it

Order is the decision: what moves as is, what gets rebuilt cloud-native and what stays in a hybrid environment. The cloud architect sets that order and the stopping point before the first workload moves.

Three clouds, one decision

What runs on AWS, what on Azure and what on Google Cloud is only a sound decision in the hands of someone who has operated all three in production. Shakers gives you access to talent certified in AI skills and cloud architecture.

AWS DevOps Engineer

The landing zone and Terraform modules the architect defines do not maintain themselves: someone operates and versions them every day.

Backend Developer

The architect decides where each service runs; the APIs and the data layer that live inside that shape are written by another hand.

View profile →

AI Engineer

A model in production changes the cloud maths: GPU, latency and storage are sized before the first inference is served.

View profile →

Python Developer

Much of the cloud runs on Python automation: serverless functions, migration scripts and the glue between services.
