AWS Engineer: what this role brings to your project

An AWS Engineer builds and operates systems on Amazon Web Services: they choose and connect the services (EC2, Lambda, S3, CloudFormation) that hold the application up, and leave the infrastructure defined in code instead of assembled by hand.

It is not just certification: their craft is deciding which service solves each need and what it costs to maintain. When the project touches AI, they extend the same logic to Bedrock.

Why work with Shakers

The advantages of adding this profile with Shakers

Architecture that genuinely scales

The right service for each workload: EC2 when you need a machine, Lambda when you do not. Architecture is decided on your real traffic, not the catalogue.

Serverless with Lambda that saves spend

Functions that execute and switch off: you pay for usage, not sleeping servers, and every function ships with tests and telemetry.

Infrastructure defined as code

CloudFormation or Terraform: the account can be reproduced, audited and switched off without fear. Nothing stays hand-assembled and untracked.

Permissions closed by design

IAM with minimal roles per service: who accesses what is written and audited, with no keys spread around the office.

A short path to models with Bedrock

When the project touches AI, Bedrock connects models with your data without standing up a separate platform: same account, new layer.

Capacity without growing headcount

An AWS Engineer by project, no hiring process: certified talent that joins with your account and your roles.

Tell us your project
What is the difference between an AWS Engineer and an AWS DevOps Engineer?
The AWS Engineer builds and operates the service architecture; the AWS DevOps one automates the pipeline that deploys. You need one or the other depending on where it hurts: the account or the software's path.
How much does an AWS Engineer cost?
Scope sets it: which services get built, what migrates and what level of operation remains. At Shakers the budget closes per project before kickoff.
Do I need someone certified to work with AWS?
Certification shows they know the catalogue; the craft shows in real accounts built. Shakers certifies talent with projects, and vendor certification counts as an extra badge.
What does an AWS project need to get started?
Access to the account with a scoped role, the service that hurts or the one being built, and one scoping session. With that, the risk and cost map lands in days.
Can an AWS Engineer work remotely?
Almost everything: the account and services live in the cloud and sessions with the team are remote. Only the odd physical deployment asks for presence.
Is an AWS Engineer the same as an AWS solutions architect?
They overlap. The architect designs the whole solution and its cost; the AWS Engineer builds and operates it. On mid-size projects the same person does both with agreed scope.
What gets delivered in the first weeks

The map of your AWS account with its risks and costs, the architecture of the service being built and the first piece in production with its CloudFormation template.

The most-mentioned cloud on the market

6,170 active tech job ads in Spain mention AWS, one in five of the corpus, according to Shakers' market analysis (n=30,508, September 2026). No other cloud concentrates as much demand.

Where the AWS Engineer ends

They do not automate the deployment pipeline as a goal of its own (that is the DevOps cut) nor design the multi-cloud strategy: they build inside AWS. If the problem lives in your Amazon account, it is theirs.

A team by project, not a vacancy

The brief arrives with the account and the symptom: cost that grows, a service that will not scale. Scope closes before kickoff and the architecture stays documented.

AWS DevOps Engineer

The DevOps cut of the ecosystem: when the problem is the pipeline deploying onto AWS, this is the page that comes in.
